We specialise in teaching navigation, VHF and radar.

• RYA shorebased courses are the best way to follow a syllabus, build your skills and finish with a recognised qualification. We teach them conventionally in the classroom.
• Correspondence courses are a good way for many people to study. We know because we have written RYA courses and enrolled thousands of students on them when we ran such a school.  If you hit a problem and need help please contact us.

If you are looking for friendly, professional teaching, normally to small groups or ‘one on one’, at all levels then that is what we offer. Our principal is very experienced. He has been teaching afloat and ashore since 1996 and has been running his own school throughout that period.

 

Our base is in Frogmore in the South Hams region of Devon between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth and very close to the A379. Frogmore Creek (left hand picture) is part of Salcombe Harbour.

 

In Devon our focus is on ‘own boat’ practical teaching (which means you learn on your boat). We run this in conjunction with a Solent based school called Sailing Days who provide courses on their school boat.
