We specialise in teaching navigation, VHF and radar.

• RYA shorebased courses are the best way to follow a syllabus, build your skills and gain a recognised qualification. We teach in the classroom or at your home.
• Are you studying a correspondence course? They can be a good way to study (we know because we have written RYA courses and enrolled thousands of students when we ran the Tiller School). However, if you hit a problem and would like personal assistance and help, we can supply it.
• Many people want to improve their knowledge but do not want to study a full RYA course. If you are in this category then click here to find out more about our Tailored Teaching.

If you are looking for friendly, professional teaching, normally in small groups or ‘one on one’, at all levels then that is what we offer. Our principal is very experienced. He has been teaching afloat and ashore since 1996 and has run  his own school throughout that period.

You’ll find us at Frogmore in the South Hams region of Devon between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth and very close to the A379.

Welcome to the Devon School of Navigation.

After a very successful season we have now stopped teaching pre-scheduled courses till September 2012.
